Ammonium Chloride, Coarse Crystalline Powder, Reagent is an inorganic compound, that presents itself as a white crystalline salt that is highly soluble in water. It occurs from the reaction of hydrochloric acid and ammonia. It has uses in medicine as an expectorant in cough medicine, in metalwork as a flux in preparing metals to be tin coated as well as in laboratories to produce cooling baths at low temperatures. Its reagent grade means this is the highest quality commercially available for this chemical and that the American Chemical Society has not officially set any specifications for this material.
