This chiral resolving reagent, also known as (R)-(+)-A-(2-NAPHTHYL)ETHYLAMINE, presents as a white to slightly pale yellow crystalline powder. It is known to be soluble in methanol. Keep container tightly closed. Store in a cool and dark place, under inert gas. This substance is light-sensitive and air-sensitive. (R)-1-(2-Naphthyl)ethylamine is incompatible with oxidizing agents. It causes skin irritation as well as serious eye irritation.
